GBS Photography is a photography studio based in the Oklahoma City metro area specializing in cannabis, but also events, product, and lifestyle photoshoots. I serve my clients by being personal and affordable while providing deliverables that fit their needs and goals.
My passion has always been to use the knowledge that I have to help the small business owner succeed. Let’s face it, there are plenty of times where they’re distracted with other facets of the business, leaving things things like having a website, being on local search results, taking photos of themselves and their product, and their presence on the web as a whole ignored. That’s where I can come in and help.
Using my time in the marketing industry, I’ve gained knowledge and skills that help me guide clients to be more effective in their marketing goals without spending a fortune. Marketing can be affordable and professional. Just let me show you how.

Rick Shaw
The guy behind the lens
Growing up in a small town in Oklahoma, I spent a fair amount of time in both choir and drama in high school and in 2002, I was part of the first-ever Oklahoma Jazz All-State Chorus. Life after high school included studying at both the University of Oklahoma and University of Central Oklahoma Schools of Drama, working at Sprint as Technical Support, a few financial institutions as a Personal Banker, and finally joining the Navy in 2010. My professional experience combined with my small town upbringing taught me how to treat people with dignity and respect, while being honest and professional.
I actually got my start in web design while late in the US Navy career building websites with HTML, JavaScript, & CSS for fun. Upon leaving the Navy, I returned back home and completed both a web design & web development program to build on my knowledge base. While in school, I saw an immediate need for marketing in Oklahoma. This need led me to start my first marketing company, and while over the years, the look has changed, the needs and goal remain the same: to help leverage marketing for small businesses.
My experiences have brought me to fall in love with photography and discover beautiful places at home and abroad that I want to capture using my eye and my lens. Because of this newfound passion, I get to share these moments with others for their business needs too!
